Boilermakers, Welders & Pipe Fitters – Marine Works

Our client is a locally owned engineering firm specialising in the marine, mining, mineral processing and oil & gas industries. We are seeking candidates with  suitable experience and trade certificate to join their site team based in Henderson.

About the roles:

• Multiple roles: Boilermaker/Pipe Fitters & Welders
• Leading Hand roles available (Exotics & Carbon Workshops)
• Workshop role based in Henderson
• ASAP Start
• Monday – Fridays 10hr days
• Must be available for weekend work
• On-going roles
• Weekly payroll

Must Have:

• Relevant Trade Certificates
• CSWIP or Equivalent welding inspection certification
• Must be competent in Flux Core, MIG and STT in Stainless Steel
• Workshop experience (Exotic & Leading Hand workshop experience HIGHLY regarded- Duplex, Super Duplex, Alloy Nickels, Titanium and Aluminium)
• Relevant Welding, Boiler making & Pipe Fitting Experience
• Sound knowledge of Work Safe Regulations
• ‘C’ Class Drivers License
• EWP Ticket
• Dogging and Rigging Ticket
• Confined Space
• Fire Sentry
• Forklift Ticket
• First Aid Certificate

The Positions:

• The works is generally replacement of defective pipework
• Fitting of pipes for light wall, Stainless Steel and Carbon Steel materials.
• Work can often be in confined spaces
• Previous experience in marine or industrial systems is highly desirable
• A very good understanding of permit to works systems & compliance of systems is a must
• Must have your own car & have a valid drivers license
• A police check may be required. Having convictions may affect your chances of employment due to client security requirements
