About the Site 

We are seeking experienced blasting personnel to play a key role in establishing our newly awarded contract with Rio Tinto, at their Hope Downs Operations! 

Hope Downs is an iron ore site in the Pilbara region of Western Australia (FIFO from Perth or Busselton). 

There will be 4 crews of 6 to 8 people, working a rotating 8/6 day/night shift roster, providing a down the hole (DTH) service. 

Available positions: 
Multiple vacancies are available, including: 

  • Site Supervisor
  • Leading Hand
  • MPU Operator
  • MPU Trainer Assessor
  • Yardperson
  • Heavy Vehicle Mechanic

What you need 

  • Unwavering commitment to safety and efficiency
  • Dangerous Goods Security Card – WA
  • Forklift ticket (mandatory for Yardperson)
  • Manual driver’s licence (HR licence required for MPU roles)
  • National Police Clearance (or willing to obtain)
  • Demonstrated experience operating MPUs in an open cut environment (excl. Yardperson & Mechanic roles)
  • Management / supervisory experience (for Site Supervisor & Leading Hand roles)
  • TAE certifications are highly regarded
