About the Role
We are currently seeking experienced Blaster / Painter Grade 3 (Trades) professionals to join a TfNSW infrastructure project at Cohens Bridge, Gunnedah. This is a 6-month assignment with an immediate start, working on critical bridge maintenance and coating works.
This role is suited to trade-qualified industrial painters with proven blast and paint experience in heavy infrastructure environments, particularly steel bridge structures.

This role is suited to trade-qualified industrial painters with proven blast and paint experience in heavy infrastructure environments, particularly steel bridge structures.
Key Responsibilities
- Abrasive blasting and surface preparation works
- Application of industrial coatings using airless spray systems to specified DFT requirements
- Stripe coating and detailed coating application
- Blast and paint works within containment systems
- Removal of existing coatings, including lead-based paints
- Operation of compressors, air preps and vacuum systems
- Assisting with containment setup and ducting
- General project support duties as required
Essential Requirements
- Cert III in Surface Preparation (or relevant trade qualification)
- Construction Industry White Card
- Current Working at Heights
- Forklift and EWP tickets
- Demonstrated experience in industrial blast & paint (bridge experience highly regarded)
- Strong understanding of WHS requirements
- Ability to work both independently and within a team
