Automotive Reconditioning Roadworthy Technician / Coordinator

Mercedes-Benz Berwick, located in Melbourne’s South Eastern suburbs, has a fantastic opportunity for a licenced RWC Technician/Coordinator to start immediately and join us as one of Australia’s largest family-owned automotive businesses.

About the role:
Pre-owned vehicle roadworthy start-up department that will allow you to take control and utilise your expertise in managing end-to-end roadworthy for all pre-owned vehicles, ensuring they are fit and ready for sale.

  • Providing expert advice concerning the current mechanical condition of vehicles
  • Liaising with the Pre-Owned Sales Manager, organising parts, quotes and work schedules
  • Document all work in compliance with VicRoads & dealership standards, remaining compliant at all times.
  • Carrying out all general repairs, reconditioning and service work on various cars
  • Build effective relationships with workshop staff and dealership team members
  • Diagnosing and repairing unusual problems
  • Test driving and conducting final assessments before the delivery or return of vehicles
  • At times, assist with the Pre-Delivery of Certified New Mercedes-Benz Vehicles

  

Who are we looking for?

To be considered for this role, you will possess the following:

  • A Light Vehicle Roadworthy Licence (must have)
  • Qualified Technician with a proven track record in automotive repairs with proven diagnostic experience/competency
  • Ability to work independently to achieve targets and standards
  • Excellent communication skills and time management skills
  • Experience with a wide range of luxury and volume makes and models.
  • Possess a positive “can do” attitude, demonstrating pride in your work
  • A current unrestricted driver’s licence
