Associate Mechanical Engineer

Small M&E Consulting firms are making a real play in the New Zealand building services market – this one already has a strong forward workload and require an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer or Associate to join the team in the CBD. They are currently working on a range of projects including residential/social housing, commercial offices, schools, hotels etc across the North Island and even have a large international project just kicking off.
You will be involved in many facets of a senior consulting role; managing projects, coordinating those projects with internal staff, work on designs from concept to construction monitoring, mentoring/training, etc. The business has enough technical firepower but lack a savvy engineer who can develop relationships and become their go to services consultancy….that is where you come in.
As the successful candidate you will have:

• 8 years experience working as a Mechanical Design Engineer in a building services consultancy environment within New Zealand
• Experience in leading multi-disciplinary projects for various commercial, educational, retail, warehouse, residential and hotel developments
• Ideally CPEng or MCIBSE and PS1/2/4 (or can obtain soon)
• Strong client relationship development skills
• Excellent time management and teamwork skills
