Aurizons Kwinana team is seeking an experienced, qualified and safety focused Assistant Track Inspector to join them on a full-time permanent basis.
About the role:
Reporting to and working closely with Aurizons Track Inspector, this position will see you on the go travelling to Aurizons Yards, Terminals and Sidings located across Southern WA. Based in Kwinana, you will be working a routine, rolling roster to ensure all of Aurizons assets are certified for continued operation within the specified timeframes and that any faults are recorded and actioned appropriately. At its core, this role will see you gather knowledge and insights from Aurizons experienced Track Inspector, giving you the opportunity to grow and become more confident with performing rail infrastructure inspections.
As an additional benefit, this role will also provide opportunities to expand your horizon by potentially working with other teams in Aurizon or in other locations across Aurizons national footprint.
Duties and responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting the Track Inspector in effective planning, organisation, communication, and leadership to enable the safe and efficient delivery of rail infrastructure inspections.
- Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with relevant standards.
- Ensuring all work is performed in a cost efficient and timely manner.
- Ensuring all faults are recorded in accordance with the relevant processes and / or procedures
About you:
- Cert II in Rail Infrastructure (Mandatory)
- Unrestricted ‘C’ Class Driver Licence (Mandatory)
- Strong personal commitment to safety
- Sound level of both written and verbal communication skills
- Ample knowledge of rail infrastructure maintenance, inspection standards, systems and processes
