What you need to know…
- temporary full time -76 hours per fortnight
- location – Koolkhan
- 9 day fortnight
- full payment of course fees
- following the period of the apprenticeship, the apprentice may be considered for the permanent position of Field Operator (Bridge Carpenter)
- access to fitness passport
About the role
Are you interested in becoming a Bridge Carpenter? We have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated person to commence a 3 year apprenticeship with our team of bridge carpenters. The role involves a great variety of work including inspection, maintenance and construction works on over 280 timber and concrete bridges within Council’s road network.

Other important information
This position is located at Council’s Koolkhan Depot, however, this may change should business needs identify other work locations to be more appropriate to deliver our services in the future.
The successful applicant will be required to attend a block release at TAFE for 1 week a month so you will need to have a driver’s licence or the ability to arrange travel to and from TAFE each week
A probation period applies to this position.
