The Opportunity:
Are you organised, tech-savvy, and ready to make a difference? We are looking for a dynamic Administration Officer to support our team in Aramac for a 6-month period.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide high-quality administrative support to ensure smooth operations.
- Collaborate with teams across the organisation to meet goals and deadlines.
- Manage records, documents, and systems with precision and efficiency.
- Assist with general office tasks while maintaining a positive and proactive approach.

Role Details:
Location: This position is based in Aramac with regional work and travel as required.
Classification: Minimum level 2.1 of the Queensland Local Government Industry (Stream A) Award – State , and the Barcaldine Regional Council Certified Agreement .
Wage: Minimum base salary of $69, per annum Superannuation (up to 12%) and relevant approved allowances, with the opportunity for more based on skills and experience (pro-rata for the 6 month contract).
Payment of Wages: Council employees are paid fortnightly.
Hours of work: 72.5 hours over 9 days with a rostered day off (RDO) every fortnight.
Leave: Five (5) weeks annual leave per annum fifteen (15) days Personal Leave (sick leave) per annum (pro-rata for the 6 month contract).

What We’re Looking For:
- Satisfactory completion of a Year 12 Certificate or equivalent (tertiary qualifications in Business Administration desirable).
- Current Queensland class ‘C’ Driver Licence.
- Administrative experience, including working in a team environment and supporting organisational functions.
- Strong skills in multitasking, prioritising, and meeting deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and records management systems.
- Basic understanding of Local Government operations or willingness to learn.
