Accountant

Golding is currently seeking an Accountant to join our Project team based in Brisbane.

The successful candidate will need to be motivated, proactive and highly organised to succeed in the role. In addition, effective social process skills will be critical to provide effective services to various business areas. 

General tasks and duties include:

• Prepare the monthly project claim for appropriate authorisation in a timely and accurate manner and compliant with head contractual requirements
• Respond to any claim queries from the client in a timely and accurate manner
• Month End Processing
• Detailed GL review of Cost Allocations to confirm accuracy/consistency
• Collation and review of monthly accruals
• Analyse and report variances in expenditure and production metrics as required
• Consolidate reporting on minimum hours, ensuring costs for the month are accurate and working with the contract advisor to resolve issues with suppliers
• Completion of other Month End reporting tasks as directed including providing preparatory information for the monthly project review meeting
• Assist with completion of annual Budgeting cycle and production of monthly Forecast updates – Reviewing and Analysing performance against these benchmarks on Monthly/Annual basis
• Production and circulation of actions as a result of P2P measures
• Provide advice to contract managers and liaise with Golding legal team where appropriate, (take necessary action within your authority) such that vendor contracts are managed effectively

Personal attributes and experience:   

• Degree in Finance (or equivalent)
• CPA/CA qualified, or currently studying towards
• Accounting experience within a project based business
• Advanced excel skills
• Hands-on SAP or other ERP application skills and experience
• High level organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload
• High level of analytical, numerical and communication skills
