About the Role
Richmond Wellbeing (RW) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Leader for our Commonwealth Psychosocial Support (CPS) and Moorditj Djerpin Wirrin (MDW) services. This dual-responsibility role is essential to our mission of providing top-quality mental health services. The ideal candidate will prioritize evidence-based mental health care and skilfully navigate the complexities of psychosocial support, guiding teams to deliver culturally secure, timely, and quality services focused on consumer resilience and wellbeing.
Administrative Oversight
- Monitor alignment with CPS and MDW program requirements through routine service delivery checks and monthly file audits.
Quality Assurance in Consumer-Centric Services
- Oversee the execution of evidence-based psychological interventions for consumers with mild to moderate mental health concerns.
- Assess the efficacy of care planning, case management, and coordination within the team.
- Manage consumer complaints and grievances by coordinating with the CPS Manager and other relevant departments.
Team Leadership and Development
- Provide regular supervision and support sessions for team members, monitoring and adjusting caseloads as necessary.
- Oversee team members leave requests, assessing the impact on service delivery and overall workload.
- Conduct performance evaluations for team members, both probationary and annual, in line with organizational protocols.
- Facilitate, lead, support, and coordinate the professional development of team members.
- Actively manage staff performance, identifying areas for improvement and developing tailored improvement plans in consultation with People & Capability (P&C).
- Review staff performance against these plans, providing constructive feedback and support to ensure alignment with RW standards and objectives.
- Address performance issues proactively, offering guidance and resources for staff development, and escalating significant concerns to the Psychosocial Outreach Services Manager as necessary.
Relationship Management
- Facilitate clear and timely internal communications between the team, the POS Manager, and other stakeholders.
- Engage with service providers and Aboriginal Community Elders in a respectful and effective manner.
- Lead initiatives aimed at building community trust, particularly within Aboriginal and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse communities.
This role is full-time working Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. This role is based out of Cannington.
Desired Skills and Experience
About You
To be considered for this role, you will possess;
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in social work, Psychology, or a related field or
- Masters degree in social work, Psychology or a related field, in addition to certifications in Mental Health such as a graduate certificate in Mental Health.
- Ongoing professional development activities relevant to mental health and team leadership.
Skills and Experience
Essential:
- Minimum of five years experience in mental health services, with at least two years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Comprehensive understanding of supporting individuals living with mental distress in the community.
- Demonstrated experience of working with marginalised and disadvantaged groups, including Aboriginal, CaLD, and LGBTIQ .
Desirable:
- Demonstrated experience in case management, service delivery, and program development.
- Skills in project management and familiarity with Australian mental health legislation are highly advantageous.

- National Police Clearance (no older than 6 months)
- Current WA Drivers License
