Iron Mine Contracting (IMC) was formed to provide Civil, Mining, Crushing and Screening and Indigenous partnering opportunities to the West Australian market.

Iron Mine Contracting are currently offering Indigenous Traineeships Cert III in Civil Construction to Indigenous candidates in the Karratha area.


During this 2 year traineeship you will learn:

  • Safety on the work site
  • Safe handling of materials
  • Plant and machinery operation (skidsteer, excavator and loader tickets)
  • Excavation
  • Levelling
  • Reading plans
  • Earthworks
  • Communications
  • Locate and protect underground services  

Successful candidates will require 

  • Current drivers licence
  • Ability to complete full pre-employment medical including drug screen
  • Be reliable and have a positive attitude
  • Strong commitment to complete the Traineeship
  • General labouring experience an advantage  
Position open only to Indigenous candidates residential to Karratha or surrounding area.
